Why choose a resin driveway?
It’s resistance to weather conditions:
A resin drive does not soften in summer heat, freeze in winter or discolour in sunlight.
Resin bound driveways can be a longer lasting durable surface. This gives a range between 10 – 21 years, when properly set up and maintained, can even remain for more than 25 years.
It requires minimal maintenance:
There are no weeds to ‘weed’ or loose stones to clear. A regular sweep and occasional jet wash can keep it looking as good as the day it was laid.
It provides natural filtration:
As floor level or rainwater seeps thru the sub-base. A natural filtration takes place – decreasing or getting rid of impurities and pollutants from oils and metals.
It reduces standing water (puddles):
Which reduces floor level water run-off and flooding.
It reduces the ‘warm island’ effect:
Warm islands appear due to the fact difficult surfaces, like asphalt and concrete, take in and store warmth. Permeable paving will allow the soil under to respire, which reduces surface temperatures thus creating the ‘warm island’ impact.
No planning permission needed:
Considering government regulation in 2008. Planning permission should not be required for smaller area’s less than 5m² or if the brand new surface/floor resin drive is permeable.

It is important to understand the fact that when a resin surface is installed to a high standard by a skilled installer it should not only be pleasing to the eye, it will also outlast surrounding (non-resin) surfaces.
